BOLLIN PROBUS CLUB, WILMSLOW Are you retired or just about to be? Why not consider joining Wilmslow’s Bollin Probus Club, part of an international organisation for men from professional and business backgrounds. We meet for coffee from 10am at the Morley Green Sports and Social Club premises, where there is ample car parking. We hear from a visiting speaker on one of a wide range of fascinating subjects and adjourn to the bar afterwards. Our social programme includes lunches, day tours and an annual holiday to which wives, friends and widows of late members are invited. Pro- spective members are welcome to attend one or two meetings before deciding whether to join us - simply call our secretary, John Yarnall, on 01625 524750 for details.
SECOND THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH: ROW OF TREES CUM WILMSLOW WOMEN’S INSTITUTE A small friendly Group who meet at St John’s Parish Rooms, Knutsford Road, Wilmslow on the second Thursday of each month. In November when we had our AGM we welcomed two new members on to the Committee and said farewell and thank you to two members who have served on the Committee for many years and added considerably to our monthly meetings. We start 2017 with a talk about Robbie Burns, his life and times. In February we make a virtual visit to Australia, when we will hear from members about their visits to and memories of this vast continent. We have three sub groups who meet regularly to discuss recently read books, music and knit and natter, making items for charity.
