A collection of manuscript hand-written vellum documents documents which have been opened up from their usual folded state and placed within clear cellophane pockets. Items include conveyance, release and mortgage deeds.

Palm Leaf Books. Two examples of this genre. The largest (41cm) with decorative hand - painted boards covering pressed palm leaf pages featuring a carefully and intricately inscribed hand written text (possibly Oriya) running lengthways across both sides of the leaves. These are held in place by a cord running through them and attached to the boards. The second is smaller


(24cm) with plain wooden boards that enclose unsecured pressed palm leaves featuring what an enclosed pencilled note describes as 'Astronomical Tables' in Oriya. These take the form of longitudinal charts or tables with impressed symbols within tiny sectioned boxes. £120 - £180
