DIMENSIONS OF BLACK: A COLLABORATION WITH THE SAN DIEGO AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM OF FINE ART

Dimensions of Black features over thirty works by African American artists drawn from MCASD’s own holdings, traversing the many ideas and perspectives that have shaped the landscape of contemporary art. The exhibition and related programs are presented in collaboration with the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art, an organization committed to educating residents and visitors of San Diego about the cultural and artistic contributions of African Americans.

Dimensions of Black: A Collaboration with the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art is organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art with generous underwriting support from Gail and George Knox, and Bernard Lumpkin and Carmine Boccuzzi. Institutional support of MCASD is provided by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture, and the County of San Diego Community Enhancement Fund.
