ACNB Bank has realigned two experienced managers to better serve the bank’s customers and staff at the four Gettysburg area banking offices. Kimberly Flickinger, assistant vice president/retail office manager, has relocated from the McSherrystown Office to manager the West Gettysburg Office at 545 West Middle Street and Adams Commerce Center Drive-Up at 100 V-Twin Drive. Tia Williams, retail office manager, now manages the North Gettysburg Office at 675 Old Harrisburg Road in addition to the Lincoln Square Office at 16 Lincoln Square.
ACNB Bank collected more than 400 toys for Holiday Family Outreach at its 14 retail banking offices in Adams County and Hanover. The bank also made a $300 contribution in addition to $730 raised by employees participating in a business casual day. The all-volunteer organization has brought Christmas to low-income families and the elderly in the Adams County area since 1953.
Adams County Library System recently welcomed Gettysburg Eagles Aerie #156 as its official sponsor. Their generous contributions will help expand programs and services for the six library branches in Adams County.
Belco Community Credit Union participated in the Toys for Tots holiday drive, donating $500 and collecting more than 400 toys from employees, members and building neighbors. Toys were collected Nov. 3-Dec. 4 and donated to children in the local community.
Karey Ridgley has joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Homesale Realty as a realtor. She specializes in residential sales throughout Adams and York counties. A long-time resident of Gettysburg, Ridgley is active with youth sports and school activities. She has six years of real estate experience and is based at 1270 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg.
Jennifer Holcomb was honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2016 Forty Under 40 award recipients for her commitment to business growth, professional excellence and community service. She is currently the Director of Memory Support at Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community. She redefined all areas of the Memory Care program by educating more than 700 employees on appropriate approaches and methods to enhance patient care, improve outcomes and boost staff
confidence. She also spearheads community education efforts to promote general knowledge of dementia.
Thirty-five non-profits will be recognized at the 18th annual
Central Penn Business Journal Nonprofit Innovation Awards, designed to recognize local nonprofit organizations of all sizes that demonstrate innovation in their daily operations. The awards breakfast is March 9 in Lancaster. Among the finalists is Cross Keys Village – The Brethren Home Community, recognized for innovation in collaboration with other organizations for a common goal.
Dr. Rita Tempel & Associates (Gettysburg Smiles) welcomes back Registered Dental Hygienist Barbara, who recently moved back to the area from Maine. Born and raised in Gettysburg, a graduate of Biglerville High School and HACC, Barbara prides herself on being a perfectionist. “I understand what it means to be gentle with patients and enjoy seeing the change in patients’ health after their visits.”
Edward Jones, which has two offices in Gettysburg, was named one of Pennsylvania’s Best Places to Work by Central Penn Business Journal. The ranking was based on an employer inventory of practices and an anonymous survey of employees, who were asked to agree or disagree with dozens of statements about the firm, teamwork and their individual experiences at the firm. For 11 years, Edward Jones has ranked in the top seven Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania, six of them as the No. 1 large company.
G-Force Investigations LLC has moved its offices to 112 Baltimore St., Ste. 2, Gettysburg. The new phone number is 717.420.5789. Additionally Bob Gano recently became a member of the National Association of Professional Process Services and the Pennsylvania Association of Licensed Investigators.
Gettysburg Area High School Future Business Leaders of America students competed at regional events on Dec. 21. Ten schools competed at this event, which included 376 students. Gettysburg had 27 students recognized at the regional level and will take 13 students to the state competition at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in April. Eight of those 13 students placed first in their event.
Peter Martin P.E., owner and operator of PJ Martin Engineering, has obtained his Sewer Enforcement Officer license and will now offer this service to local municipalities. To become licensed, Martin first completed rigorous training and testing.
