Coastal Commission accepts Port of San Diego’s adoption of Glorietta Bay master plan


What Happened: The California Coastal Commission unanimously accepted the Port of San Diego Board of Port Commissioners’ adoption of a Port Master Plan amendment for the Glorietta Bay Marina Dock C improvements project. Port commissioners adopted a resolu-


tion in March to amend its master plan for the Glorietta Bay Marina improve- ments project to designate the water around Dock C for recreational boat berthing instead of an open bay.


The city of Coronado agreed to accept the California Coastal Commission’s amendments for the Glorietta Bay Marina improvements project. The fi nal leg of Glorietta Bay Marina’s renovation is expected to begin later this year.

Port of Long Beach seeks public comment on pro- posed fi reboat station


What Happened: The Port of Long Beach announced on April 15 it is accepting public comments on a study and report on a proposed fi reboat station at Pier D in the inner harbor. Plans call for the reloca- tion of a temporary fi reboat station into a permanent, two-story building measuring 9,416 square feet and accommodating a six-member fi reboat crew and two fi re- trucks. Attached to the building would be an 18,700-square-foot boat bay and roof enclosures for a fi reboat. The Initial Study and Mitigated
