OXNARD — Boaters and their families are invited to attend the 2016 Channel Islands Safe Boating Expo on May 14 where several local organizations and agencies will be onsite to provide information on the latest in boating safety. During the 11th annual event public
tours will be available at the U.S. Coast Guard docks, offshore air, sea and fire rescue demos will be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and safety demos are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Agency booths will also be at the event
providing guests with information on the services provided by specific agencies and much more. Agencies scheduled to be at the expo include Ventura County Fire, Oxnard Fire, Navy League,
