Frontier Pitts PAS 68 Terra Rising and Static Bollards are the preferred choice to meet the counter terrorist (CT) objectives. They provide safety to the public, protecting vulnerable locations from the threat of HVM’s (Hostile Vehicle Mitigation) and VBIED’s (Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device), whilst allowing the free passage by pedestrians.
Frontier Pitts Terra Rising Bollards have been successfully impact tested with a 7.5t vehicle travelling at 50mph. Finished here in stainless steel, the bollards were installed with traffic light systems and interfaced to the existing access control system. The remainder of the aperture was secured with Static Terra Venus Bollards. It is crucial that the equipment is aesthetically pleasing and blends in to the architecture of the site so not to highlight the potential threat or asset that requires protecting.
Frontier Pitts manufacture the complete range of Anti Terra Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) impact tested products including Terra Gates (sliding, hinged and bi-parting), Terra Barriers (Compact 3.5t @ 30mph, Ultimate 7.5t @ 50mph and the Swing Terra 180° Barrier), Terra Blockers (original, Shallow and Surface Mounted), with Rising and Static Bollards stopping various energies. All have been successfully impact tested to the British PAS 68 and International IWA 14 specifications.
The Terra Diamond Turnstile has been successfully tested in accordance to LPS1175 Security Rating 3 and 4, and is proven to withstand a forcible attack.
Following the tragic Berlin Christmas Market attack and previous attacks in Nice, France last year, it is clear there is an emerging terror threat of using vehicles as a weapon within a crowded place environment with the aim to harm general members of the public.

Since 2004, Frontier Pitts has been designing and manufacturing Vehicle Security Barriers (VSB’s) that have been tested by independent third parties (MIRA and TRL) and proven to stop such hostile vehicles.
