Local retired police officer Dave West has been providing handyman services to families, individuals and businesses in and around Maidstone for over a year now as a member of the national organisation ‘Trust in Blue’.

They must provide proof of their police background, with Enhanced DBS (CRB) checks, carry up to date Public Liability insurance cover and supply references to verify their handyman skills. Being former police officers, we never really lose that instinct to protect and help the public,” said Dave, who lives in Maidstone.
He added: “I was a police officer for over 38 years with the majority of my time spent as a detective
in Maidstone and the surrounding area. During this time I dealt with countless incidents where people and especially the elderly and vulnerable had been
exploited and had money taken from them under false pretences for work on their homes. Working with Trust in Blue Iam able to provide a service that people know they can trust and can have faith in. I find it epsecially rewarding that people, particularly the elderly, have re-assurance that they have found someone to carry out their work be it small or large who they can trust."
