13 Dec-15 Jan Jack and the Beanstalk Teatre Royal

Time for the annual Christmas panto! Tis year, the Teatre Royal’s festive offering is Jack and the Beanstalk which, with a cheeky twist, will be set in the Wild West. Heading the cast is Wayne Sleep, top dancer, choreographer and West End star who was recently seen in TV’s Te Real Marigold Hotel. He will be playing the total baddie Phineas P Stinkworthy, and Wayne says: “What I love about panto is that it is a family audience. It is aimed at everybody. I think it is a big responsibility because it is often the first theatre that a child sees.” Also back in the show this year are panto stalwarts Richard Gauntlett and Ben Langley, who are sure to bring lots of laughs and entertainment to the festive spectacular. From 9 to 90, this is a great show and a perfect way of celebrating Christmas. You will be disappointed if you miss out. Oh yes you will!

It’s Christmas with doggos!

10 Dec Lock In Christmas Carol Norwich Playhouse

Half gig, half dance show and half panto, the BBC award winning Lock In Christmas Carol will be a festive laugh and a half. It’s Christmas Eve and the regulars of Ye Olde Fighting Cocks are excited about the night ahead - it’s going to be the folk & hip hop party of the year! To their dismay the landlady, Jasmineezer Scrooge, has more profitable ambitions and is preparing to launch her new business, Jazzles nightclub. Fortunately, some insightful souls are at hand to lead her back to her senses. Don’t miss this slightly unhinged approach to a family festive party.
