Mooring buoys
Experience gained in the manufacture of unsinkable floats has encouraged Rotax Marine to develop a new generation of mooring buoys. Produced from rotationally-moulded polyethylene, the buoys are also filled with expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam in order to guarantee their unsinkability. Unlike buoys filled with
Mowing boat
A Dutch-built workboat, which acts as a ‘water dozer’, has proved to be extremely reliable in the most extreme conditions for removing floating debris and water plants from rivers, wide channels and lakes. The Conver C96-5 mowing boat is the widest in the company’s range (2,25 m) and has the largest capacity of all its mowing boats with a 68 hp diesel engine and a standard double auger. The two hard-wearing anti-coiling augers give the machine maximum propulsion and enormous maneuverability, both forwards
and backwards, even in densely overgrown and shallow waterways. The high position of the operator enables the work in progress to be viewed with ease. The front of the work boat
has a lifting frame to which a number of different tools can be attached. Various options have been developed, so the machine can be used to remove vegetation and can also be used as a support vessel for dredging activities. Conver

polyurethane foam, EPS foam is composed of closed cells, which cannot fill with water. Therefore, after being struck by propellers or following violent impacts and even in the case of deliberate vandalism, Rotax buoys will never sink.
In addition to its technical
advantages, the use of EPS foam enables Rotax to produce a 100% recyclable buoy. The quality of the EPS foam is
checked every week in the same was as pontoon floats using a procedure that measures its water absorption capacity (seven-day test). The range of Rotax mooring
buoys is available in four volumes: 40, 64, 120 and 200 litres. The buoys are equipped with through- shafts with interior diameters of 26, 46, 52 or 63 mm suitable for the application of mooring ropes, chains or rods. Rotax Marine
