A WORD FROM THE MANAGER:

Welcome to the summer edition of the magazine here at Amble Leisure, and it is with mixed feelings I write my last manager’s update for you to read. After over four happy years

at Amble Leisure, I am moving on within Park Leisure to both train team members across the company in a variety of areas and increase my involvement in the company’s Health and Safety team. As you may already know training is something that I have done for many years, in particular first aid. I am extremely proud of all my trainees in Park Leisure who have been part of my training courses and hope these life skills will be with you should you ever need to put them into practice. I would like to thank you all

for making me feel so welcome over the years and supporting the range of activities we now offer. It has been great to see so many people having fun whilst on holiday here and keeping active. I am sure you will extend the

same courtesy and kindness to my successor.

David Pullinger Amble Health & Leisure General Manager

NEWS IN BRIEF: Welcoming Katie

If you haven’t yet met our new team members, now’s your chance! We’d like to give a warm welcome to Ed & Gillian who’ll be on hand for your every need whilst you’re at Amble Leisure.

Get involved this summer

Our extensive list of summertime activities have begun and we’re delighted to see so much interest already. Please pop by the leisure centre or ask at the Information Suite for more details about what is available.

Help us support Walking With The Wounded

As you may have read, the company directors will be travelling on bike from Cornwall to Amble visiting every Park Leisure park on the way to raise as much money for Walking With The Wounded as possible. When they arrive at Amble, on the 12th August they will be taking on a local challenge, which we encourage you to support.

Plus, we have also arranged a kayak race for you to get involved in at Druridge Lake on 31st July for fathers & sons, and mothers & daughters! All proceeds go to Walking With The Wounded. If you haven’t had your sponsor

form, please come to the Information Suite for yours.

On the day of the kayak race all you’ll need to bring is a spare set of clothes, everything else is provided, your safety is our first priority so first timers and non-swimmers welcome. This will be a fun event and I’m sure you will dig deep to help the cause.

Take a look at pages 6 and 7 for more information about Walking With The Wounded, and what your fellow owners at other parks are getting up to.

Don’t forget… we also offer 1-2-1 lessons for both adults and children on Sunday morning! Please contact us for more details!
