NOVEMBER 2016

In a month when Donald Trump could become POTUS and Americans celebrate not only Tanksgiving but also the lesser known National Pizza With Te Works Except Anchovies Day (and, luckily, National Flossing Day not long afterwards), you wouldn’t be wrong in thinking the US of A has utterly flipped. Still, we love our friends across the pond (most of them), and in this month’s Outline you’ll find us asking what you’ll be grateful for this Tanksgiving and testing your Stateside knowledge in our crossword.

Back in the comfortable and tender nest we call Norwich, Outline spoke to noiseniks Savages, Manchester’s Courteeners, the mysterious Lanterns on the Lake, beret sporting Captain Sensible out of Te Damned and Scottish duo Honeyblood about their upcoming gigs, plus John Hegley wrote a special poem just for us! We went along to Norwich Cocktail Week to try some you know, cocktails, and tried some Tai at the new Giggling Squid restaurant. Check out the freshest garms to be seen on the scene in Clothesline and photographic evidence of major fun in Caught Out.

Stay safe out there on Bonfire Night, get all starry eyed at our fine city’s Christmas lights turn on (and it is a turn on) and find out about all the unusual stuff going on this month in OutTere, from Richard III in a disused shoe factory to a baby disco at Open. And feel free to join me on November 7th for the Official Colour Te World Orange Day when I’ll be getting Tango’d. No? Shame.

I close this month with the wise words of one Mr Axl Rose. Tis hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain. Amen to that Axl. Amen.

Check out extended versions of all of this month’s interviews on our fancy new website, outlineonline.co.uk.
