Pitchcare Classifieds Product News A round-up of the latest product news announced in recent weeks
ICL has announced that its range of rotary spreaders has undergone a colour transformation from green and orange to blue and white to represent the new corporate colours.
The AccuPro 2000 and SR-2000 are renowned for accurately delivering seeds, fertilisers and top dressing. Up until now, these popular spreaders have graced the likes of fairways, sports fields and landscapes in their signature green and orange colour. However, in line with new company branding both the AccuPro 2000 and SR-2000’s hopper will now be manufactured in ICL's shade of blue.
PELLENC has launched the Cleanion - a pedestrian battery-powered brush suitable for removing debris from natural and artificial grass and other hard surfaces. Pellenc is sold exclusively in the UK by Etesia UK.

JOHN DEERE has added three new models to its ever growing Gator crossover 4x4 utility vehicle range for 2016, including a more affordable mid- size machine.
The Gator XUV 590i and 590i S4 four-passenger utility vehicles are designed for customers seeking a combination of performance and comfort, with a range of customisation and attachment options. Equipped with a powerful twin-cylinder 32hp, 586cc petrol engine and independent four-wheel suspension, the XUV 590i can accelerate quickly to a top speed of over 45mph.
PELLENC has also launched two new battery- powered pruners - the Prunion and Vinion, which replace the older generation Treelion and Lixion pruning shears.
The two new models, priced at just £799.00 + VAT for the Prunion and £649.00 + VAT for the Vinion represents a saving of almost 50% compared to the older generation pruning shears.
With a weight of less than 900 grams, the Prunion pruner offers users unbeatable cutting power and work quality.

Both models are equipped as standard with power steering and an 875W/65A alternator to run auxiliary attachments such as lights, winches and sprayers without the risk of discharging the battery.
Ground clearance is a minimum of 267mm (10.5in) on the 590i, which has a load capacity of 363kg and a towing capacity of 499kg. The S4 version has a ground clearance of 236mm (9.3in), a load capacity of 544kg with the rear passenger seat folded down and is also capable of towing up to 499kg.
Drivers and passengers alike will appreciate the low noise and vibration levels of these new Gators, which are achieved by isolating the powertrain and utilising sound-dampening material around the engine and continuously variable transmission (CVT) intakes.
Whilst the spreaders will be sporting new colours, the specifications will remain exactly the same, continuing to offer turf managers the very best in application efficiency.
Meanwhile, ICL continues to develop its presence in the Landscape and Industrial market sector with the announcement that they have reached an agreement with Bayer Environmental to be their working partner and exclusive supplier of Finale 150
Finale 150 is a foliar contact herbicide manufactured by Bayer and contains 150g/L of glufosinate-ammonium.
This powerful and popular herbicide, that gained hard surface approval in 2015, is designed to provide a high level of control over annual and perennial grasses and broad-leaved weeds and can be applied over a wide range of amenity and industrial situations.

BRAND new from Toro to the UK are the Reelmaster 3555-D and 3575-D fairway mowers.
Joining the Reelmaster 3550-D, which weighs in at just 900kg, these two additions aren’t letting the side down with their lightweight credentials weighing approximately 500lbs less than comparable four-wheel Toro mowers and providing more choice in the lightweight fairway mower arena.
With the weight balanced from front-to-back and side-to-side, a low centre of gravity is created and when this is combined with smooth turf-friendly tyres, the result is a reduction in turf compaction and damage.
Also contributing to this light step around the course is a highly manoeuvrable three-wheel-drive system which allows the machines to make tight turns with ease, reduces turnaround time and, just like the tyres, significantly decreases the potential for turf tear. Just like the RM3550-D before them, these machines make a big impression without leaving one.
As well as being among the lightest on the market, both machines are also among the quietest in their class. Registering at just 84dB(A) for the operator and at 73dB(A) 25-foot away, which is the same as a motorbike, they are ideal for courses in residential areas.
Powered by a 24.8hp (18.5kW) Kubota diesel engine, the Reelmaster 3555-D and 3575-D provide plenty of power to climb hills, even while running groomers and rear roller brushes, yet they use less fuel per acre than traditional fairway mowers.
