Solent Business Awards

SBA launches its Year 2 campaign

This year marks the second successive year of the Solent Business Awards – and after the success of the inaugural event in 2015, the south coast’s leading awards scheme will be an unmissable date in the region’s calendar.

The SBA is the only awards scheme covering the entire Solent and South Coast region, including Hampshire and Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset, as well as Chichester, and the western parts of West Sussex.

Last year, finalists came from Bournemouth, New Milton, Winchester, Portsmouth, Dummer, Petersfield, Fareham, the Isle of Wight, Southampton, Cosham and Romsey – reflecting the breadth of growing, talented and innovative companies in the region.

Sectors represented ranged from traditional manufacturing to hi-tech, from creative services, to recruitment, and from retail and hospitality to professional services.

The 2016 awards scheme is once again sponsored by www.businessmag.co.uk

NatWest, KPMG, James Cowper Kreston and Pitmans. Taylor Made Computer Solutions joins the sponsorship line-up, and there is support once again from the CBI.

Organised by The Business Magazine, the SBA will be open for entries this month. Closing date for nominations is June 17, and the gala awards night is set for October 20 at the Hilton at Ageas Bowl, Southampton.

The categories include: Dynamic Growth award; SME of the Year; Company of the Year; Best Use of Technology; Management Team of the Year; and CSR award.

The SBA’s official charity is Naomi House & Jacksplace – last year the event raised £2,000 for the cause.
