professional journal, The Dental Advisor. LuxaCore Z’s decisive advantage is
its authentic dentine feeling because its mechanical properties are similar to those of the natural tooth. Consequently, dentists cannot feel any difference in the transition from dentine to the material during preparation and their hands move smoothly from one to the other. This ensures controlled substance removal, as well as a precise preparation line. In addition to this top five-star
rating, LuxaCore Z also received the title ‘preferred product’. The preferred products are comprised of a selection of highly-rated products that act as a decision-making tool for dentists worldwide. LuxaCore Z-Dual is the perfect answer for core build-ups with seamless perfection.
An enhanced version of LuxaCore-Dual, successful internationally for more than ı5 years, it can be used for high quality composite core-build-ups, restorations and post cementations. Containing high-performance zirconium
dioxide fillers, LuxaCore Z-Dual can be used for two main tasks. As a dual-curing precision luting material to cement posts, for example LuxaPost, with a minimal cement gap which provides maximum strength and minimal risk of the post coming loose. Then to produce the core build-up, which can be placed immediately. Combined together LuxaCore Z-Dual
and LuxaPost compensate for masticatory forces in a similar manner to dentine. The two materials forming a harmonious bond with the dentine, which resists these stresses. This monoblock restoration helps eliminate fractures and provides a secure basis for the restoration. LuxaCore Z-Dual provides a genuine dentine feeling when being prepared using burs. This means that clinicians do not detect any difference in the transition between the build-up material and the dentine during preparation. This ensures tactile stability and a groove-free surface finish, leaving the operator to concentrate on the really important things – preparation form and margin.
