The Anaheim Community Services Department
recognizes the following organizations and individuals for their outstanding donations during the months of January, February and March 2016.
Donations over $1000
The City of Anaheim Annual Recognition Luncheon “We are Lucky to have Wonderful Volunteers” held at the City National Grove of Anaheim was a great event honoring all those who give of their time and resources. “Thank You” to our $1,000 Four Leaf Clover Sponsors!
ANAHEIM PUBLIC UTILITIES, ANAHEIM GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTER, CARE AMBULANCE SERVICE, INC., CHEVRON PRODUCTS COMPANY, DISNEYLAND RESORT, KUSTOM IMPRINTS, REPUBLIC SERVICES, RUTAN & TUCKER, LLP and SA RECYCLING.
THE DISNEYLAND RESORT is keeping Oak Canyon Nature Center Eco Friendly with a $20,000 donation towards activities and events that include cleanup/planting projects, environmental awareness exhibits and wildflower hikes at the Eco Fun Faire held on March 26, 2016. This generous donation also funds an outreach program in collaboration with Fun on Wheels to bring the Eco-Fun Faire into priority neighborhoods. Nature Center staff will provide an ecology lesson, environmental craft and do a live animal interaction at ten (10) locations.
L3 INTERSTATE ELECTRONICS and their employees made a $4,628 donation in support of the Pearson Park Amphitheatre Summer Series, Concerts in the Canyon and the Annual Recognition Luncheon.
Project S.A.Y. (Support Anaheim’s Youth) Cycling Program received a $1,000 grant from SAM’S CLUB. The funds will be used towards bike repairs, equipment and clothing for the summer bike program.
FRIENDS OF THE ANAHEIM PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION donated $1,200 which helped support the Anaheim Reads program
FRIENDS OF THE CANYON HILLS LIBRARY donated $1,944 to help purchase large print books and support the Summer Reading Program and the National Library Week Children’s Program. Also supported was the Chinese New Year’s program at Haskett and Ponderosa Libraries.
