We are pleased to introduce the Brook-
lin Boat Yard 65-foot Sportfi sh Motoryacht in collaboration with the design offi ce of C. Raymond Hunt Associates of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The desirable attributes of the Hunt
deep-V hull is good rough water perfor- mance and a dry ride. With this design pedi- gree in mind, the new Brooklin Boat Yard 65’ Sportfi sh has been designed with serious off - shore capabilities in mind: strong and robust, comfortable and dry. The arrangement is classic sportfi sh, with accommodations for six in the owner’s party plus a crew of two. Aft is a large fi ghting cockpit overlooked by a mezzanine deck. The design incorporates the yard’s
advanced wood composite construction techniques with recent advances in propul- sion technology and controls. Brooklin Boat Yard is a true leader in the industry where the structural benefi ts of wood and high-tech composite materials are showcased in every yacht we build. Every component of our yachts is vacuum bagged; composite fabrics are resin-infused for optimum strength- to-weight characteristics to make a truly superior product.

that their 11.4 meter aft helm tender has won the 2016 ShowBoats Design Award in the tender design category. There were a total of 12 tenders
nominated for the award. The fi rst step in determining the winner was for a subcom- mittee to compare elements such as horse- power-to-weight ratio, launch and retrieval methods, carrying capacity, speed, range, and mission features of each boat. Accord- ing to Boat International, those deemed the “smartest” were then presented to the full panel.
The 11.4 meter tender - which now
serves on one of the world’s fi nest Su- peryachts - is part of Hodgdon’s Venetian Series and was designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design. The aft helm design is an evo- lution of Hodgdon’s 10.5 meter limousine tender, which was inspired by the grace and beauty of traditional Venetian water taxis. The tender off ers ample outside seating for- ward and a climate-controlled cabin for 10 with standing headroom. The boat has a rigid bimini that powers down for convenient stowage in the mothership’s tender bay. A meticulous level of detail was in-
vested into the layout and the installation of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems, resulting in a tender whose construction is of unmatched quality. Hodgdon’s service divi- sion off ers full after-sales support programs for all Hodgdon built tenders.
