Wellington Fosters Young Riders With Robert Dover and George Morris Horsemastership Sessions

This year’s New Year celebration brought more than just fire- works for two lucky groups of young riders in Wellington, Florida. For the sports of dressage and jumping, special educational events are held in early January where Olympic- level riders and coaches spend days working one-on- one with talented up-and- coming riders.

The intense

training programs for this year’s participants were once again excellent opportunities for our young riders to master both basics and more advanced techniques as they strive to become international-quality competitors themselves.

For five days, world renowned professionals in the equine industry delivered exceptional and valuable instruction. Speakers and instructors included Robert Dover himself, a six-time Olympian and current U.S. Equestrian Team Chef d’Equipe; Steffen Peters, three-time Olympian, World Equestrian Games (WEG)/World Cup medalist and 2015 team and individual Pan Am gold medalist; Charlotte Bredahl-Baker, Olympian and current U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) youth coach; Laura Graves, 2014 WEG fifth place ranking, 2015 World Cup fourth individual ranking, and Pan Am Team gold and individual silver medalist; and George Williams, a top international rider and current USEF youth coach.
