Biodiversity Acon Plan Update Aer consulng with the community, Milford Conservaon Group have already started to implement the plan, completed in September 2015, to protect and enhance the habitats for Milford’s wildlife.
The Freshwater Quality Project has already begun to monitor the water quality from 23 locaons around the parish. Volunteers are trained to idenfy contaminated streams, rivers and waterways and report incidents to the authories. This has already resulted in one problem now being resolved by a combinaon of the Environment Agency, Southern Water and the Parish Council.
Moth Surveys are important indicators of the health of our wildlife and local experts have been able to idenfy moths caught in Robinson Traps. With several

residents allowing traps to be set up in their gardens and with those on Studland Common, a staggering 377 species have been idenfied, including many that do not have common names and others that are extremely rare in Hampshire.
All wildlife surveys records and the freshwater quality monitoring events are entered into an online Living Record so that all reports are picked up by various County Wildlife Recorders.
