The Parish Council has a small community support budget to provide small one‐off grants to help support community


organisaons. The priority is to assist groups who have only a limited fundraising capacity of maybe starng a new community


acvity. There is sll some funding available for this financial year but requests have to be made by 15th March. If you would like to apply, please contact the Parish Office.

The Hampshire Playing Fields Associaon has awarded a grant of £2000 to Milford‐ on‐Sea Parish Council for flooring works to the Sports Pavilion at Barnes Lane Recreaon Ground. The cheque was presented to the Parish Council on behalf of The Hampshire Playing Fields Associaon by County Councillor Alan Rice, who was instrumental in helping the Parish obtain the funding and who is a former Chairman of the Associaon.


The money has allowed the Parish Council to complete an extensive programme of refurbishment at the Pavilion, which is mostly used by the Football Club and Cricket Club, but is also available to the community for hire at other mes. Other works included redecoraon and improvements to the changing rooms, a new kitchen and bar area and remodelling of the interior space to make it more user‐

friendly.


Graham Wells, Milford‐on‐Sea Parish Clerk said: “The Parish Council are delighted The Hampshire Playing Fields Associaon has chosen to support them in maintain this important community facility and thank them for this generous grant. The Pavilion is now hugely improved and will serve the residents of Milford Parish for many more years to come.”
