In 2016, Buckinghamshire New University’s Business School, headed by a new director Richard Bingley, is expanding significantly
at the High Wycombe Campus. Executive coaching courses are due to take place at the University’s University Campus Aylesbury Vale (UCAV) in Aylesbury, and Leadership and Management postgraduate programmes are held at Missenden Abbey Conference Centre, owned by the University.
“The University also operates our business courses globally through distance learning and we teach degrees with our international partners.”
Bingley said Bucks Business School offers a ‘real-world’ range of courses and options to study specialist areas, such as organisational resilience, aviation, and digital leadership, as part of a degree.

The Knowledge Academy couple wins Richard Branson award
Education entrepreneurs Barinder and Dilshad Hothi have been recognised as rising stars of the British business world, having won yet another prestigious award.
The Hothis, who are in their 30s, have scooped ‘The Sunday Times Fast Track Ones to Watch’ award which is sponsored by Virgin and recognises UK private companies with the fastest-growing sales over the past three financial years.
The couple run The Knowledge Academy in Bracknell which offers more than 50,000 job and skills training courses in over 200 countries to customers from the self- employed and SMEs through to blue chips including Rolls Royce, HSBC, British Airways, PwC and Disney.
They have created more than 250 jobs locally at the company’s headquarters on Cain Road, and turnover this year is expected to reach £35 million – just six years after launching in 2009.

The search is on for the 2016 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year
EY has announced the launch of Entrepreneur Of The Year 2016 awards, that recognises entrepreneurs through its regional programme across the south of England. Now in its 30th year globally and 18th in the UK, the Entrepreneur Of The Year programme supports EY’s overall commitment to entrepreneurship and celebrates business leaders who are helping to reshape the regional economy.
EY is calling for nominations from business leaders across the Thames Valley and South Coast, who have demonstrated entrepreneurial flair while growing or turning around the fortunes of their organisation in the UK or overseas – whether private or listed, socially-orientated, family-owned or private-equity backed, across all commercial and industrial sectors.
Entries are now open until March 11, with finalists announced in April. The programme starts at a local level, with other regional programmes taking place in Scotland, the North of England and the Midlands. Regional winners then
progress to the UK finals in October, and the overall UK winner goes on to compete for the title of World Entrepreneur Of The Year in Monte Carlo next year.
