Sensory boost for special school
SPECIALIST sensory equipment will be bought for pupils with profound, complex and severe learning difficulties and disabili- ties at a school in Maidstone. The Friends group of the special

the foundation by companies in- cluding the Hilton Maidstone hotel. Simon Sheehan, director of

Show tickets on sale
TICKETS for the Kent County Show have gone on sale six months ahead of the event. The idea to launch the tickets
in November was to capitalise on pre-Christmas sales, after visitors told organisers they would like to give tickets to friends and relatives as gifts. TheKent County Agricultural Society, which organises the event, has also introduced a multi-day pass in response to visitor feedback that they would like to attend on more than one day. Lucy Hegarty, show man-
ager, said: “We have had a num- ber of companies enquire about purchasing advance Kent County Show tickets for staff gifts and thank you presents.” Multi-day tickets can only be purchased in advance, priced £50, with a second costing £35. Adult day tickets are £19.80 in
advance and £22 on the day, children £5.40 in advance and £6 at the gate. This year’s Kent County Show
takes place at the County Show- ground, Detling, from Friday July 8 to Sunday July 10.
