I had quite a bit of time off work over the Christmas and New Year period and it was lovely to spend quality time with the family. Returning to work at first was difficult to get motivated but after a day or two it felt like I´d never been off. Now we are well into January and I’m fully back into the swing of things.
We have decided 2016 will be the year to make some home improvements,
possibly even extending our house. I’m not
sure if this is the wisest of moves as it will cause a great deal of disruption to our household but it will be for the better in the long run. In a month or so we may well change our minds completely though.
With St Valentine’s Day fast approaching, I am wondering if this year I might be spoilt with flowers, chocolates or a nice meal out. Or possibly a weekend away….. Maybe my husband should take a leaf out of my son’s book as he treated his girlfriend to a weekend in Paris as part of her Christmas present. Or more likely, it will be just another day that will just pass us by. I am probably painting an unfair picture especially after the beautiful Swarovski bangle that I got for Christmas. But if you don’t ask (or hint) you don’t get........
