Diverse Body of Faith
FPCA recently welcomed 26 new members. In announcing them from the pulpit, Mike Drake noted what they illustrate: a vibrant, open congregation in which people representing diverse ages and backgrounds along with a variety of preferred worship styles can find a place.

Tun Aung, Hlawn Nei Kim, Joseph Tang, Lal Run Kim, and Zung Len Par, Allentown. Family: Joseph, 17; Lal Run Kim, 14; and Zung Len Par, 12. Background:Tun and his wife, Hlawn Nei, work at JBS. Te family actively participates in FPCA’s Burmese worship service.
Jay and Eileen Kelliher Berger, Allentown. Family: Four grown children, several grandchildren. Background: Moved from Doylestown about a year ago; previously they lived in New York City. Jay is a writer who has published two novels. Eileen works in Institutional Advancement at Cedar Crest College. Interests: Eagles football, cooking, local
Priscilla Berk, North Catasauqua. Family: Husband Steven, an ER resident at Lehigh Valley Hospital; 9-month-old son Gavin. Background: Now a stay-at-home mom but formerly a classroom teacher in the Allentown School District. Interests: Teir 5-year-old Yorkie, Nugget. What drew her to FPCA: Friend Angie Kemp invited her to our church, where she felt warmly welcomed.
Christine was raised in Avoca, PA, and spent 15 years as a labor delivery nurse before becoming a stay-at- home mom and entrepreneur with her own business in legal medical summary. Shawn grew up in Bryn Mawr, PA, and works at Mars Inc. in the technology division. Mackenzie is a fifth grader at Southern Lehigh Intermediate School. Cooper is a second grader at Liberty Bell Elementary School. Interests: Chris: Reading, school volunteering, and traveling. Shawn: Reading, writing, investing, guitar, improv, tea, and spending time with family. Mackenzie: Running 5K’s, Pennsylvania Youth Teater Company. Cooper: Stories, building things, playing on his swing set, and video games. What drew them to FPCA: An inclusive, ministry/ service-based community of worship.
originally from Bloomfield, NJ, is semi-retired and working part-time with Bath Fitter of Allentown. Beth, originally from Bangor, PA, substitute teaches in the Bethlehem, Allentown, and Whitehall School Districts, and works as a benefits checkup coordinator with Jewish Family Services of Allentown. Interests: Ballroom dancing, especially Hustle and West Coast Swing. Tey live with their Bichon dog, Kyna. What drew them to FPCA: Serving Christ near their home.

Nabil and May Gerdak, Northampton. Family: Children Michael, 5, and Natalie, 4. Background: Moved in 2012 from New Jersey, where Nabil worked as a car mechanic and May as a dental office manager. Tey are originally from Lebanon and Syria. Interests:Meeting more believers in Jesus Christ.
