Festival du Voyageur Every winter since 1970, Saint-Boniface, Winnipeg’s
French quarter, is transformed into a winter paradise and becomes host to the largest winter festival in Western Canada. Tis year's festival runs from February 12 to 21, and as always there will be many fun sites to be seen all over the city. Hopefully it'sactually cold and some of the more wintery activities can still be enjoyed (a Winnipegger begging for cold...how odd)
Seeds Part court-room drama and part social-satire, this ac-
claimed docu-drama puts a spotlight in the court case that pitted a Saskatchwan farmer against corporate giant Mo- nanto. At the centre of the story is the question of not only whether or not a gene can be patented, but how that kind of legality affects all of us on a very human level. Tis produc- tion from Montreal’s Porte Parole has wowed audiences across the country, and features Eric Peterson (Corner Gas) as farmer Percy Schmeiser. Seeds is playing at the Prairie Teatre Exchange from
February 10 to February 28. Visit www.pte.mb.ca

Hockey at the MTS Centre It's the shortest month of the year, so as you might expect
the Winnipeg Jets are not playng a lot of games at the MTS Centre in February, but that's mostly due to the fact they'll be on the road for eight of their 12 games. When they are at home, they'll host Dallas twice in addition to Carolia and Boston. Te Moose (Meese?) benefit from the absence of the Jets,
playing eight of their 13 games at home with visits from Toronto, Chicago, Texas and Charlotte.
