Issue 173
November 2015
N
ovember, huh. Bit grim innit. But as Guns ‘n’ Roses never tire of reminding us, nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain. So cheer up Norwich! You’ve got the new Outline in your
mitts, crafted by bleedin’ experts. And you deserve it. Your hair looks great by the way.
Tis month, on your behalf, we gobbled down a lobster dinner, went to the Belle Vue quiz, checked out some new albums, watched Mockingjay Part II and Inside Out, took some snaps of you lot out on the lash, asked y’all who you’d put on the bonfire this Nov 5th and did a full investigation into what gigs and shiz are coming up in Naaaaaarch this month.
And natch, we’ve got a motherload of superb interviews with the likes of snub nosed punks Slaves, everyone’s favourite Madchester uncles Happy Mondays, the Mercury Prize nominated Eska, electronic rocker Blanck Mass, hip hop legend Jeru the Damaja, the mystical Public Service Broadcasting, up and coming grunge merchants Kagoule, indie boyz Te Maccabees and Lowestoft’s finest, Te Darkness. Cor blimey guv’nor. Get them reading glasses on.
Oh yeah! We at Outline have started a super-rad gang, and BBC Introducing Norfolk and Open are IN. Game recognise game, you know. We’re putting on a series of live gigs in Open’s club room, and the first one’s on 3rd December. We’ve handpicked the acts and bloody hell, they’re about to blow yo head off. With everything from filthy garage rock right through to a teenage band described as Te New Joy Division, we’re basically inviting you to one of the best nights of the year. Blossom Records will be providing a vinyl destination on the evening with a wide selection of records for sale on the night too, so bring your pennies. It’s just £3 in advance. Tat’s £3 for four bands. I know, right. I expect a Freddo costs more than that these days.
Word to your mother.
