Horsepower The Ford Mustang, available across Europe for the first time in 50 years, has created a stampede of orders. The iconic car has made more than

9,000 appearances in television, music and video games, as well as co-starring in films with Hollywood stars such as Will Smith, Nicholas Cage, Jason Statham, Tom Cruise, and perhaps most memorably Steve McQueen — in cult 1960s movie Bullitt.

Famed for powerful performance, the

all-new Ford Mustang covers 0-62mph in less than five seconds with the 5.0 litre V8 engine, or in just less than six seconds with the more fuel-efficient 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine.

Available in the UK from November, the most technically advanced Mustang ever features a new chassis with independent front and rear suspension. The handling has been developed to deliver high levels of balance, responsiveness and fun, creating a new benchmark for Mustang performance. Technology for the all-new Ford Mustang includes advanced voice- activated connectivity system SYNC 2 that enables drivers to voice-control audio, navigation, climate control and connected mobile phones. Standard equipment includes an eight-inch touchscreen and a nine-speaker sound system.

The new Ford Mustang is available in

fastback and convertible bodystyles with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions, and features classic

design elements including three- dimensional, tri-bar tail lamps, signature trapezoidal grille and shark-bite front fascia.
