KCCwas progressing this.A pedestrian crossing sign had been bought to go on the exit barrier.Agroup ofwalkers had asked to park several cars during awalk in Suon Valence. GroundsmanAlocal farmer had said that he had been asked to complete some works at theWar Memorial Field. The groundsman knew nothing about this. Pavilion The risk assessment would be completed now all works had been completed. The clerk had been asking the power suppliers to change the invoice name from Langley Parish Council to Suon Valence Parish Council. It had been set up incorrectly by the company that sourced the best deal. The clerk had now registered this as a complaint as nothing had been done. The clerk had issued a contract and checklist for the cleaner for the forthcoming season. Insurance details had been received. Harbour play area The Maidstone Council report said the framewas bent on the toddler swing, therewere cracks in the safety surface on the multiplay and the surface of the play area. on a vehicle inWilsons Lane, East Farleigh. A gate and a padlockwere stolen from a


farm in Barnes Lane, Linton. A tow bar was stolen from a Land Rover


in Vicarage Road, Hunton. The rear doors of a Ford Transitwere damaged on a drive in Moat Road, Headcorn. A Stihl chainsawwas stolen from a van


in Boughton Lane, Boughton Monchelsea. Computer equipment was stolen from a


caravan in a field in Headcorn. A container in a yard in South Lane, Suon Valencewas broken into and items were stolen. A Citroen van parked in North Street, Headcornwas broken into and tools,


clerkwas chasing a third quote. Open spaces Four tree stumps needed to be removed from the area behind the church. Cllr Daviswas to inspect the trees which were forming a canopy over the path. Allotments The clerkwas to chase up the two outstanding deposits at Bowhalls.A number of spare plots at The Harbourwere to be sprayed. Lorry parking Lorries had been blocking the path in South Lane. This had been reported to the PCSO and the situationwas resolved. Since then a lorry had been reported parked on the footpath over theweekend. Salt bags Onewas usually delivered to the exit of the car park. Itwas decided that one should be placed in the first bay of the car park. Road name Maidstone Council had decided that the stretch of road fromWarmlake crossroads to theWar Memorial playing fieldswas now officially Maidstone Road and from theWar Memorial Playing Field to Suon Valence Hill – North Street. Parishioners had been informed and signs would be erected. Festive lightsAn email had been received from Queens Head Oddfellows regarding festive lighting in Lambes Garden. There was no objection, subject to it being confined to Christmas, the lights should be turned off at a reasonable time and it should be approved by the neighbours. Harbour FieldWillowswere to be replanted but itwas decided towait until the ditch had been cleared and thewater flow sorted. Captains CloseAresident had suggested that the green needed improving. The parish environmental groupwas to produce a questionnaire on whatwaswanted and pass it to the parish council for agreement and distribution. The clerk had pointed out that the parish council did not own this land. Lower Road footpath Thiswas overgrown again and forced pedestrians into the road. It must be cut into the bank by at least two feet to avoid repetition of the problem reported only a few months earlier. The clerkwas to chase this. Tumblers Hill footpath Thiswas impassable, forcing pedestrians to use the road. This had been registered as a complaint with Kent Highway Services several months earlier by several parishioners without satisfactory action.


Crime report The following crimes had been reported: an aempted burglary in Chartway Street; a burglary in South Lane; theft from a vehicle in High Street; vehicle interference in South Lane and an aempted burglary in Rectory Lane.


Yalding


Lighting The lightwas up at the junction of Benover Road and Town Bridge and makes a huge difference to the safety of the corner. The Anchor The lier bin had been replaced by Maidstone Council with a blue bin. The parish’s new green bin had been fied next to it. The blue binwas to be painted green. Pony field The fence at The Lees Pony Field was to be extended slightly at the Laddingford end. Tree replanting The residentswere in favour of a crab apple tree in the High Street. Cale Six cale had been loaned from Mr Shead at Brookside andwere now on The Fen.


Council land The football club would replant the land under the goal at Jubilee Field when they replant The Kintons. Maidstone Council had inspected the burnt bin at The Kintons and had no concerns. It had since been burnt again, which had actually improved it. The clerk would remove the jagged edges. The damaged footpath signs had been removed. The neles and long grass at The Ta had been removed.


Defibrillators Two public access defibrillators and cabinets had been ordered. Broadband The current service from Callflowwas appalling. The clerk had contacted Callflow andwas awaiting a response. The Lees The car park tenants had not acknowledged the leer sent to them requesting that they do not allow overnight parking.Aleer would be sent asking for a response. Badges Itwas agreed that councillors should have badges for identification purposes only. Councillors might point out if people were not complying with The Lees bylaws but should never aempt to enforce them and put themselves at risk. Tree survey Mayhew Consultancy had supplied a quote of £700 to carry out the tree safety inspection and thiswas agreed.

garden of a property in Benover Road, Yalding. The door of a vehiclewas damaged in Headcorn Road, Staplehurst in an aempt to break in. A doorwas damaged in an aempted burglary in Rectory Lane, Suon Valence. Itemswere taken from a van parked in Church Green, Staplehurst.
