newsbriefs Lightworker Conference on October 3 T
he Metamorphosis Center will host an all-day Lightworker Conference, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on October 3, at its Holistic Event Center on 1301 East Cliff Road in Burnsville. “Come join us for a day of sharing our wisdom and supporting each other as we learn, network, practice, and envision our future with more light and a higher vibration,” states Laura Strong, owner of the Metamorphosis Center. Speakers scheduled for the day include Molly Friedenfeld, teacher of light;
Sarah Smriga, healer and guide; Michele Rae, lightworker; and Laura Strong, conscious entrepreneur. The day includes opening ceremony, meditations, discussions and sharing as well as a catered lunch from Chow Girls that specialize in organic food. All participants will receive a beautiful journal with pre-populated pages to reference throughout the conference and additional material to reference after the event. Strong explains there is much diversity in their community of lightworkers who
illuminate various techniques, practices and expressions and bring infinite light to our planet, and that there is room for all to learn and grow. Participants are invited to discover new ways and enhance familiar ways to
elevate their vibration. The day’s event is open to all—from curious beginners to (delete becoming a) experienced professional lightworkers. “Come join us as we co-create who we are becoming, individually and collec-
tively,” encourages Strong.

Hilde-Fest 2015, Hildegard of Bingen: Her Way and Her Wisdom
T
he fourth annual Hildegard Fest, Hildegard of Bingen: Her Way and Her Wisdom, takes place September 18 to 20, at the Christine Center, in Willard, Wisconsin. This annual event celebrates St. Hildegard, a 12th
man Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic and visionary. The featured presenter is Dr. Avis Clendenen, who
teaches courses in both pastoral and practical theology at Xavier University, in Chicago, and is the author of Experiencing Hildegard: Jungian Insights into the Spiritual Vision of 12th-Century Hildegard of Bingen. Hildegard cultivated a deep appreciation of holistic healing and is credited with recording more than 2,000 remedies. She considered treating symptoms to be a futile effort. The whole body and the all-important soul required consideration for the healing process to be successful. Not only was there a close connection between diet and health, but also between the body and food, and between the human and the cosmos. Visitors and guests at the Christine Center can explore the gifts of meditation, holis- tic wellness, and mystical spirituality from both Christian and Eastern traditions. Come learn how to help transform the world through transforming yourself.
Cost: $200 (If sliding scale or scholarship is needed, email
Guhlein@tds.net.) Location: W8303 Mann Rd., Willard, WI. For more information and registration, call 715-267- 7507 or visit
