After the success of last term’s inaugural LVS Ascot Music Festival came June’sMusic FestivalWinners’ Concert. Triumphantmusical prodigies fromthe original eventwere invited back alongwith selected others to create a stunning evening of outstandingmusical talent, with representatives fromschools right across Berkshire enjoying our hospitality and facilities. Performers included cellistYi AnnYeung (picturedwith her family) fromBrockhurst andMarlston House school near Newbury,whowas the overallMusic Festivalwinner.

Thewinners of ourYear 7“YoungChef”competition took part in JamieOliver’s Food RevolutionDay inMay, aided by helpers fromYear 10, following an online cook along tutorial fromthe famous chef before following his instructions to create‘Squash It’sandwiches.The initiativewas designed to encourage healthy eating amongst children, and LVSAscot’s participation was streamed live online for parents to enjoy.


Students, staffand families packed into the BritvicTheatre inApril to be entertained by our talented contemporary musicians. Pupils fromYears 7 and upwards thrilled the crowdwith amix of cover versions and original songs. FrancescaDeaconwon Best SoloCoverwhilstThe Boarding Band received Best BandCover andVelvet Skins the Best BandOriginal award.
