The Music Man. Through Aug. 1st. It’s 76 trombones, 110 cornets and YOU for this classic: Meredith Willson’s THE MUSIC MAN. A family-friendly story to be shared with every generation, this six-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957. THE MUSIC MAN follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef! His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librar- ian. You will laugh until your sides hurt and cheer for the amazing dance sequences. Don’t miss this show, hailed by many as the perfection of the American musical com- edy! 1 Bath Road Brunswick, ME, 04011, 207-725-8769 www.msmt.org.
