The winner of The Mail Online’s competition to win the “Smile of Your Dreams with Invisalign” has been unveiled as 26-year-old Jessica Daly. Jessica began her tooth straightening treatment seven months ago with orthodontist Dr Michael Ryan of Dundrum Orthodontics in Dublin. Before entering the competition, Jessica had undertaken a good deal of research into teeth straightening and was adamant that she did not want highly visible wire and bracket braces. She said: “I had always known that I didn’t want traditional ‘train tracks’, and had read a lot of reviews about orthodontic treatments. I had decided that if I were ever to straighten my teeth, Invisalign was the only treatment I would want as its

virtually invisible and so I wouldn’t draw attention to my teeth. “I didn’t think I would win the competition, but was delighted that I did. I’m now on the way to achieving the straight teeth I have always dreamed of.” The Invisalign system works by repositioning teeth discretely, little by little, using a series of custom made clear “aligners” which are changed in two-weekly increments.

Jessica said: “The only reason people know I am wearing Invisalign is because I tell everyone. I’m now on my 14th aligner (with 33 to go) and I’ve already started to notice the results. I am a midwife, and none of my patients notice my aligners before I point them out.” Jessica still has a way to go on her Invisalign journey, and the company will be delighted to share the final results next year.
