ust Tink Twice, the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) teen website, provides insightful information on the harm- ful effects of drug use. Te site not only provides young
people with facts about drug use and the consequences of using, it also shares true stories of teen fatalities from drug use. One story, for instance, is about a 14-year-old girl who died
aſter a one-time experimentation with Ecstasy. Te story links to more information about Ecstasy so that teenagers can understand what it is as well as the resources for geting help. Te site also houses facts on marijuana, nonmedical use of
prescription drugs, spice/k2, heroin, PCP, Khat, steroids, etc., and provides easy-to-read information on the various street names of these drugs, the drugs’ appearance and effects on the mind and body, overdose effects, legal status, and origin. Although this website has been created for teenagers, DATIA
members can share this information with clients of all ages! Just Tink Twice also provides highlights from various industry reports and studies including Drug Abuse Warning Network (DAWN), Monitoring the Future and the National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
