Many thought him mad at the time - many still do - but, through his persistence and sheer bloody mindedness, Pitchcare has become the leading online
resource for groundsmen, greenkeepers and other industry folk.
In 2004, he was awarded the Turf Professional ‘Personality of the Year’ Award and, in 2007, won the OSU ‘Professional Excellence Award’, which is given to a sports turf professional or educator who has made an impact on the industry on a global scale.
Dave continues to drive Pitchcare in his own inimitable style, and it is to his credit that the company now employs over seventy people, a good number being former apprentices that are now full time.
