In December, the members of the Orange Elks Lodge # 1475 did what they do best – they helped others. As they have done each year for the past decade, the 13-volunteer cooking crew showed up at 6:30 a.m. to fix turkeys for Mary’s Kitchen. They cooked 19 turkeys, with all the trimmings, to feed more than 200 people. Mary’s Kitchen in Orange has fed homeless and other underprivileged folk in the community since 1984. Donations and help are always needed. If you can assist Mary’s Kitchen, call (714) 633-0444, or go to
