lessings to you, dear reader, this holiday season! Thank you for picking up this month’s issue of Natural Awakenings. Whether you’re a regular reader or this

is your first time reading our free monthly publication, we thank you for your support! I’d like to give a shout out to the people who make this magazine happen every month. Sara Shrode of Campfire Studios is

the amazing graphic designer who puts our magazine together each month as well as creates some of the ads and graphics that are needed. As her company name implies, Sara is especially fond of camping. Michelle Hamburger wears dual hats. She’s one of our ad salespeople and is also our roving reporter who writes most of the Community Spotlights. Michelle is a fashionista who loves to recy- cle, and she is happily and healthily gluten-free. Editing help comes from Karen Adams, Randy Kambic,

Michele Rose and, most recently, Cheryl Hynes, as well as from our corporate office that supplies us with leading-edge editorial as well as heart-centered assistance in all the ways they can to help their 95+ publishers grow and flourish. Also, I’d like to honor and recognize our advertisers who are

what keeps us in business. Please be sure to thank them by utiliz- ing their products or services if you feel called to do so. Our theme for December is Awakening Humanity and fea-

surely don’t matter; or maybe they don’t know where to begin. Possibly they’re too tired to care, in which case they must first nurture and care for themselves. No one should live in a world of not caring. There are many ways to make the world even better: help a friend; pick up litter;

smile; give; share; pray; be an answer to a prayer for someone; visit someone who doesn’t get out much; offer to babysit; or drive someone to an appointment. Sit in silence for a few moments and let your heart fill with love. List all the ways

that you can make a difference. Do what you can with the time, money and energy you have at the time. Adjust as needed. Inspire others to do the same.
