LAUNCHES Who grows there?
If you’re not growing, you’re shrinking – and there’s certainly growth in estate agency, even in these tough times.
John sandErs and FishEr GErman mErGE Fisher German, established for 160 years, is joining forces with Worcestershire chartered surveyors John Sanders. Fisher German LLP currently has 11 offices while John Sanders specialises in property agency and rural consultancy with two offices covering Worcestershire, Herefordshire, North Gloucestershire, South Shropshire and the West Midlands. John Sanders was set up
in 1991 by Christian Sanders and his late father John, previously a partner in Banks and Silvers. The union with Fisher German will see Christian Sanders, Morgan Aps and Matthew Barker become partners at Fisher German. Christian Sanders says, “The
merger will really expand the estate agency side of the business and give our clients national reach as well as local offices. Fisher German also offers in-house planning and development services and they deal in good quality estates, country houses, farms and equine properties.” Stuart Flint, head of
property agency for Fisher German said “This is a fantastic step for both firms. We join forces with a very highly respected Worcestershire estate agent. “John Sanders has an
enviable reputation and we envisage significant expansion in the region on the back of this merger.”
ExcitinG timEs For howard cundEy Tim Foulkes says, “Ibbett Mosely and Howard Cundey have been working together for the last 3 years. It is a challenging and exciting time as Howard Cundey will become the largest firm of Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents in this area with 11 offices including a shared Mayfair Office. We have around 80 experienced and highly qualified staff and besides estate agency we have three Lettings & Management departments and commercial property and surveying services. “We have a brand new Howard
Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents, Ibbett Mosely, are changing their structure. The Westminster, Sevenoaks, Otford, Borough Green, Westerham and West Malling branches will continue to trade as Ibbett Mosely while Biggin Hill, Edenbridge, Oxted, Reigate, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells branches will adopt the Howard Cundey brand for their residential, commercial and professional businesses. Ibbett Mosely, (pictured, l-r)Tim Foulkes, Dan Berrisford, Mike Hewson and Jon Pearce already own the Howard Cundey business so this reorganisation will provide a wider geographical coverage in West Kent, Surrey and Sussex and a greater integration of the business.
An established letting agent in York, Letters of Distinction, launched Sellers of Distinction six months ago, offering sellers the opportunity to customise their sales packs and cherry pick tools to suit their requirements. Hannah Roberts, Sales Manager, says, “Our clients pay £50 a month to cover website advertising and can choose from a range of other services including sale boards, press advertising, brochures, accompanied viewings, professional

apartment in just eight days and saved the vendor £2500. Another client is an architect so did his own plans and viewings; he paid just £250 to sell his property.” Director Richard Littlefair, says,
“We have built a hugely successful lettings business over the last eight years and whilst most agents are diversifying into rentals, we saw a gap in the market for an estate agent that could offer a highly cost effective sales solution. We know it can take a lot of effort to sell some properties, but others sell as soon as a board goes up.”

Ellisons Expansion Merton Mayor Oonagh Moulton opened Ellisons’ new office in Wimbledon, next to their flagship sales office with a champagne reception. With increasing demand in the rental market, Sean Purtill, proprietor of Ellisons, decided to incorporate a new office, exclusively for Lettings. The Mayoress said, “It is
great to see a local company create more employment and assist in the home finding process, hopefully this is a sign that the green shoots of recovery are beginning and that Merton, one of London’s most vibrant local authorities is leading the way. I wish Ellisons continued success.” Sean Purtill added, “The Lettings market continues to boom. Demand for rental accommodation has consistently outstripped supply, resulting in rents increasing by up to 12 per cent year on year.”
