Hope StoneRegroups Everyone expected JaneWeiner to take at least a fewmonths off before regrouping herHope Stone operation after the closing of her studio and company. In no time, she has resurrected the company on a project by project basis,with some shows already scheduled. She is also teaching open adult classes atHoustonBallet, is an artist-in-residence atHoustonCommunityCollege, and teaching at Vitacca Productions&Company.Weiner remains focused on her passion of arts and education, andwill again be presenting her work as part of theHobbyCenter’sDiscovery program.

Peugh is flying high after recently being named an “important discovery” byNewYork Times chief dance criticAlastairMacaulay for his dance hall romp, Slump,with BalletXat theVailDance Festival. “WorkingwithBalletXhas been one of the highlights ofmy dance career so far,” says Peugh. “The dancers approachedmyworkwith curiosity and openness. They were very generouswithme andwerewilling to struggle.” Peugh also justwrapped up awell-received showin FortWorthwithDark Circles, and is setting a newwork on the LosAngeles-based BodyTraffic, and onAvantChamberBallet inDallas.
