By SHERRY HALBROOK The PEF Executive
Board at its August 14-15 meeting in Albany voted overwhelmingly in favor of endorsing Zephyr Teachout and Tim Wu who are running in the Democratic Party primary
for governor and lieutenant governor, respectively. The board also endorsed Thomas DiNapoli for state comptroller and Eric Schneiderman for state attorney general. “PEF is a very democratic union and
today is a testament of that,” said PEF President Susan M. Kent, in a statement to news media announcing the endorsement. “This union has taken a bold step to endorse Zephyr Teachout and Tim Wu. They are the leadership this state needs, that public workers need, and that the citizens of the state of New York deserve.”
