Holistic Expo in Burnsville T


he Twin Cities Chapter of the international Ho- listic Chamber of Commerce (HCC) is hosting its first Holistic Expo this month. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 20 at the Metamorphosis Center, in Burnsville.


Local members of the HCC will offer their services, including free samples, reduced fees and introductory offerings at this event. “One of the key objectives of our Twin Cities Chapter is to help educate the local community on


the many holistic products and services available to enhance our health and well-be- ing,” says Laura Strong, owner of the Metamorphosis Center and chapter president of the Twin Cities HCC. “This expo represents our first endeavor to showcase the skills and expertise of our member practitioners. We encourage everyone to come and learn more about our vision to create healthier people on a healthier planet.” Some of the scheduled vendors include: Connie Delgado, Traveling Goddesses:

years in the field of veterinary medicine, observing and research- ing the effects of individual nutrients on animal health. Today he is known for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and omega-3 essential fatty acids. He is the recipi- ent of the 2011 Klaus Schwarz Commemorative Medal, which


recognizes the work of pioneers in the field of trace element research. Wallach lectures throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins


and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry. His efforts and dedication to the public’s First Amendment rights to complete information on the therapeutic benefits of nutrition prompted the FDA to establish Qualified Health Claims for selenium and omega-3 essential fatty acids.
