JAMES RYAN GOLDEN DEEDS Tis year’s recipient of the award is

someone we’ve known for 33 years. Te more familiar he became with the trucking industry, the more he reached out to help. He led his company to become a special advocate for the association among customers. He authorizes numerous sponsorships in support of association events. He encourages his staff to participate as volunteers at association events and in this regard, he certainly leads by example. He has been known to change his vacation schedule in order to volunteer on our behalf, and participated in activities even when his health was in peril. From co-chairing poker runs to serving as an announcer at the truck driving

championships, he’s always on board in hopes of making new friends and contributing positively to the event. You ought to hear him at the microphone when a driver is on the driving course to appreciate the respect he conveys to each and every driver for what they do.

He also has traveled the country talking

safety to trucking company executives, helping them understand the critical role they play in trucking safety, a subject near and dear to his heart, and part of the mission of his company. You’ve enjoyed him as co-host of our annual

awards breakfast for more than 20 years, too. He never fails to make your day. Nt
