> Managing the development engineers for steel wire ropes and EMC worldwide in the diff erent locations.. The Development engineers that the manager will lead use the principles of engineering and mathematics to prepare and issue rope designs. They Utilize the available design tools and computer systems to enter the details about the new or modifi ed product items into the design database and the corporate ERP system. Verifi es that the existing design criteria is applied to current manufacturing specifi cations for all active rope products. Assures that industry and government standards are followed when specifi ed for certain products. Assists Senior Product Engineer in charge of rope design in modifying existing design criteria or establishing new ones for improved and cost eff ective products.
This is all done with in-depth knowledge of the customer and/or market needs and in close interaction and communica- tion with customer service department, product planners, sales and marketing departments, cost accounting department, scheduling department, manufacturing department, corporate quality department, corporate plant engineering department, and technical service engineers as well as other WireCo
