Bowling night thanks to young helpers
A RIVERSIDE Rotary Club tradition was extended this year when young people from Invicta Grammar School’s Interact Club joined the club from Maidstone Grammar School and the Crossroads Young Carers for an evening of bowling. Rotarian GeoffWood, who organ-
ised the event at the Hollywood Bowl in Maidstone and has been the mentor for the Interact Club in Maidstone for several years, said: “This annual event is a great oppor- tunity for our Rotary Club to say a practical thank you and well done to our young people for all of the work they do for charity, including the help they give usmanning the gates at the county show. “It is also in appreciation for the dedicated help the young carers give their disabled family members on a reg- ular basis.We applaud the work that all these young people do.”

Kent County Council is investing an additional £3 million to repair damage to Kent’s roads and we have crews out there tackling potholes, broken manhole covers, flood damage and fallen trees following the winter storms and exceptional rainfall.
