First independent business centre to open at Terminal 5
Heathrow and Regus, the global workspace provider, have announced plans to develop the first independent business centre at the UK’s hub airport, with Regus Express set to open at Terminal 5 this summer.
The move responds to a growing demand for ‘third place’ work locations where business travellers can check their emails, hold conference calls and meetings and print documents.
Regus Express will offer a quiet, professional business lounge with a co-working space, private workstations (to be known as ‘ThinkPods’) and secure WiFi, as well as meeting rooms available by the hour.
Stephen Wilkinson, Heathrow’s property director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Regus Express to Heathrow. More business passengers pass through Heathrow than any other airport in the world, making the opening of
Regus Express at Terminal 5 an innovative solution for our customers.”
Phil Kemp, global managing director of Regus Third Place, commented: “There has long been a need for more accessible business services and productive workspace at airports and we are delighted that Regus Express will soon become a fixture in the UK’s hub airport.
“This deal is one of many in
the pipeline. We are currently engaging with transport operators, retailers and hotel chains across the globe to help them establish mobile work facilities for their customers and maximise new revenue opportunities.
“On a wider level, our strategy is to continually expand our global network and diversify the type of location we offer, making it even more convenient for members to work flexibly and productively, when and where it suits them.”

Get your hats on: raise money
Taking place on March 28, thousands of people across the UK will take part in events – wearing hats and fundraising for vital research.
Tailored to your needs
Research into brain tumours receives less than 1% of national cancer research spending in the UK, yet this is the number one cancer killer of children and adults under 40. Wear A Hat Day is a fantastic way of increasing awareness and getting people raising money for this devastating disease, says the charity.
We ensure that we thoroughly understand your challenges and the needs of your business. We tailor intelligent, effective solutions to help you grow.

Described as the ‘red nose day’ for brain tumours, Brain Tumour Research has gone to great lengths to help organisations and individuals
get the best fundraising results from their events. The website:
www.wearahatday.org is filled with ideas for your event, and registration offers a fundraising pack which includes balloons, posters, leaflets, fridge magnets and specially-designed Wear-A-Hat- Day badges.
The charity is also producing a limited edition ‘signature brooch’ to coincide with Wear A Hat Day, based on a design supplied by Vivien Sheriff, whose iconic headgear is an award- winning fusion of classic and modern design.
Brain Tumour Research is the only brain tumour charity in the UK that is dedicated to granting 100% of its funds to continuous and sustainable scientific research. It supports an annual £1 million programme of research at a dedicated Brain Tumour Research Centre in the University of Portsmouth and in spring this year will be announcing a new funding partnership with a second Centre of Excellence.
