A business support organisation which represents businesses employing 37,000 people across Dorset has appointed its official public relations partner.


Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), which describes itself as the voice of business in the county, has teamed up with Deep South Media (DSM) which is providing press office and public relations support.


Chief executive at DCCI Ian Girling said: “The Chamber has great business stories to tell. Deep South Media, with its team of professional journalists, has the necessary skills and experience to bring them to the widest possible audience. We are looking forward to forging a close and long-term relationship with DSM. We have really exciting plans over the next two years and it is really important to engage with businesses in the county.“

since 1998. The nine-strong firm, which includes three former regional business editors, is based in Bournemouth and offers a regional and national reach. It specialises in press office services, multi-media content, reputation management, stakeholder engagement and design.


The company continues to expand organically and has 34 retained clients across a wide range of sectors including law, accountancy, property, civil engineering, water, public transport, education, local government and residential care homes.


Ron Wain, commercial director, added: “The Chamber is regarded as the voice of business in Dorset, supporting and promoting the great things going on in workplaces across our vibrant county.


“Our role will include sharing with the business communities, in towns and rural areas, the dynamic activities happening at DCCI, highlighting how this go-ahead organisation is making a real and positive difference to members.“
