Europa opens Leeds office
Europa, the pan-European logistics company taken over by former RH Freight owner Andrew Baxter in August, has officially opened a new office in Leeds, at Calder Park off Junction 39 of the M1. New branch manager Miles O’Donnell has joined the company and is planning a recruitment drive in the New Year. He is looking for a team of 12 staff within the next 24 months. The new office will be
supported by a local distribution partner that will cover collection and distribution in Yorkshire with nightly vehicles connecting the branch to Europa’s northern hub at ProLogis Park
in Birmingham and in turn allowing consignments to be exported across Europe on a daily basis. Europa has never had an
office presence in the region, it’s nearest northern location hitherto being in Manchester. On acquiring RH Freight,
Baxter announced plans for investment in the business and maximising its potential outside Europe, particularly in air, ocean and logistics operations. Europa expects to add a
number of additional routes by the end of the year and throughout 2014 and it also has plans to open another branch in the East Midlands.
