There’s nothing more precious than a new life...

A

round 1,000 of the 10,000 babies born across the East Midlands each

year are cared for at the Neonatal Units at Nottingham University Hospitals, including babies born at other hospitals requiring special medical or surgical care.

Premature and sick newborn babies

receive specially tailored care at the two units at Nottingham City Hospital and the Queen’s Medical Centre, where parents and families also receive the care and advice they need.

Our Tiny Babies Appeal is vital in helping to provide state-of-the-art equipment,

carrying out research to improve care for tiny patients, and supporting parents and families who have premature or sick newborn babies, at what is a difficult and emotional time.

By donating to Nottingham Hospitals Charity’s Tiny Babies Appeal, you can be sure that you’re helping to enhance care and facilities for tiny patients and their families from across the East Midlands.

Free parenting programmes for families in Nottingham

Are you the parent of a child aged 2 years 9 months to 4 years 6 months?

Does your child constantly move around, fidget and wriggle, not listen to you or talk too much? Is this behaviour difficult for you to manage at home during meal and playtimes or watching TV, and when you are out and about, shopping, or visiting?

Support for you and your child

Researchers from the University of Nottingham are inviting local families to take part in an innovative research project with the chance to participate in parenting programmes designed to help you manage your child’s behaviour and improve family life. This will take just 1 to 2 hours each week for a period of 12 weeks.

Our next parenting programmes will begin in January 2014.

To find out more about the study and take part in a short interview to see if your family might benefit from participating, contact us on 07881 280369 or email Elvira.Perez@nottingham.ac.uk
