The high performance machine is designed to process materials up to a tensile strength of 1,400 N/mm². Tungsten carbide tipped saw blades of 360 mm diameter and either 2.5 or 2 mm thick minimise the kerf and hence the amount of metal lost as swarf. For some materials, coated or cermet blades are used. All such blades have the additional advantage that thin or thin-walled materials can be cut

A ‘Lean Machine’ from ET Automation

CTechnologies Automation showcased a ‘Lean Machine - robotically integrated bending solution’ (LM-RIBS) cell at the  earlier in November this year. “Press brakes are a widely used machine with most fabricators having at least one, and many users have 20 or more. Unfortunately, North American based fabricators have not kept pace with their competitors in Europe, and other areas of the world, by using industrial robots to automate the press brake forming process. LM – LM-RIBS cell eliminates the excuses many North American fabricators have posed in the past, allowing them to reduce their piece part cost, and, increase their throughput by using LM-RIBS,” says John Burg, Ellison Technologies Automation President.

The company provides the advanced LM RIBS cell for all fabricators across North America,  Using innovation coupled with programming software, their engineers are able to integrate small lot sizes driven by high
