Healthy Living Expo Set to Inspire
T
he Healthy Living Expo will be held at the Knoxville Convention Center
January 31 and February 1, 2014, offer- ing more than a hundred exhibits and stage demonstrations to inspire visitors to take good care of themselves and the planet. The event will be held Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hundreds of prizes will be given out, and stage activities will give visitors hours of entertainment through tasting, learning and partici- pating. There will be health screenings provided onsite, as well as healthy food and interactive fitness demonstrations. Special areas of interest will be
the Natural Awakenings Natural Health Pavilion, which will bring together companies offering everything from household products to nutritional sup- plements to promote a healthy mind, body and planet; the Chiropractic Care Pavilion, whose sponsors—Cornerstone Chiropractic, Jacobs Chiropractic and Sulack Chiropractic—offer a natural ap- proach to wellness; the Eat Right Stage, where nutritionists, local chefs and other experts will share cooking ideas and food samples; and the Get Active Stage, with fitness demos for visitors of all ages.
Tickets are $10 at the door. Natural Awakenings readers are encouraged to use the free ticket in this issue and make copies to share with anyone who wants to lead a healthier life. Also, in coordination with the event, Cigna Healthcare is sponsoring the Employee Wellness Program for area businesses.
