It is not necessary to send money with your child to camp. However, our sites do have Camp Stores where you may purchase various souvenir items. The stores are generally open during registration and on the last day of camp - they are not open during camp session. Your camp fee includes snacks and the offi cial T-shirt for the year. If your child will be carpooling or riding in the church bus, you may want to make arrangements if you want to child to purchase items at the store. For more information about items sold at the camp stores, please contact them directly.

Safe Sanctuaries is a process developed to train and certify persons as safe workers with children and youth in Conference ministries. The policies were adopted in 1999, in response to God’s call to welcome all children and to protect them from the devastating effects of child abuse.

The policy and procedures outline how a person may become certifi ed to work with the above populations. Currently, this requires training and completion of paperwork. The paperwork includes a background check, personal references, and a self-disclosure covenant.

Anyone who is 15 years or older and interested in working with children and youth as well as vulnerable adults in district and Conference level ministries are required to be Safe Sanctuaries certified. For more information, please visit the Conference web site at www.moumethodist.org/safesanctuaries.

This is the covenant that we have our campers sign prior to their entering camp.

I enter into covenant with my Lord, my counselor, my director and with the other campers for the purpose of creating Christian community while at camp. As part of the covenant, I will:

• Expect the best of others and give my best in our activities together

• Expect to make new friends and to be a friend to others

begin on June 10th and conclude

• Gladly help others and gladly receive help when it is needed

on June 14th! This camp will be led by Jeannie Martin of First UMC, Jefferson City. Stay tuned for more information. Did you know...

If you registered for camp in 2013, your health information has been saved in your account! Just use the same login to retrieve the info. If you cannot remember your username, please email mocamps@moumethodist.org.

• Participate in all activities as led by the counselors and director

• Respect the camp property and the property of the other campers

• Sing, celebrate and make noise now and then

• Allow my picture to be taken for camp publicity purposes

• Seek to grow in my relations with Jesus Christ by making the most of opportunities for prayer, Bible study, worship and Christian fellowship.
